Good value, mature, drinking Bordeaux is becoming very thin on the ground in these times of soaring prices. However, after close inspection, I am delighted to say that one or two relative bargains still exist.
Chateaux Potensac represents fine value for money in almost all vintages and one of the best is from the revered 2005 vintage. The world’s most influential wine critic, Robert Parker, describes this modest wine as “very impressive” behaving like a Cru Classé. And all for under £25.00 a bottle!
Already drinking beautifully, this is a perfect table claret to enjoy over the next 10 years or so. Grab yourself a bargain whilst stocks last (and prices remain sensible.)
